Randy Cook - Fundraising Co-Chair

Randy Cook is fundraising co-chair of the Iowa Scholastic Clay Target Program, Inc.  As an avid hunter since my early youth, I have enjoyed target shooting and wing shooting since 1960.  I shot my first round of singles trap in 1975 and my first American Skeet in 1980.  I started participating in Sporting Clays and Five Stand in 1992.  I am encouraged to see young people participating in SCTP activities.  It will provide a strong base for these young folks to draw from for the rest of their lives.  I am hopeful that several of our SCTP participants will become involved in hunting and develop interest and support for the conservation of our nation’s natural resources.  I am hopeful that these young people and their parents will become strong advocates in support of private gun ownership and rights allowing for safe and responsible recreational shooting throughout the country for the foreseeable future.  I hope that our organization will be able to help provide the opportunity to participate in SCTP to any young person in Iowa .
