Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) proudly introduces school-aged young people to the many advantages and opportunities offered through team-based shooting sports, encouraging, facilitating and fostering their participation. Our positive and supportive Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and Scholastic Pistol Program (SPP) assist young people in their continued growth and development as they grow into productive and contributing members of society.

Iowa Department of Natural Resources Shooting Sports Program

By providing programs and facilities for the shooting sports, the DNR will help ensure the future of hunting, shooting and outdoor conservation for generations to come. Target shooting is a lifetime sport that families can enjoy together and is one of the safest activities available today.

In addition, target shooting teaches the fundamental marksmanship skills required for hunting and provides multiple avenues for families to get involved in hunting and other outdoor pursuits.

The Iowa State University Trap and Skeet Club

The Iowa State University Trap and Skeet Club was formed by a group of students with a common interest in the clay target sports. Shooters of all skill levels are encouraged to participate; from beginners, hunters looking to practice in the off-season, and advanced target shooters looking to excel in competition.

Amateur Trapshooting Association

The ATA serves as the faithful protector of the sport of trapshooting. As the largest clay target shooting organization in the world, the ATA governs the sport’s rules and regulations and seeks ways to further enhance the sport and increase participation.

The National Skeet Shooting Association is the world’s largest organization dedicated to the sport of Skeet Shooting. As the official governing and sanctioning body for Skeet competition in the U.S., the NSSA is dedicated to developing the sport at all levels, from recreational to World Championship. Skeet is a safe, wholesome sport that can provide fun and fellowship for a lifetime.

National Sporting Clays Association

NSCA is the largest Sporting Clays association in the world and the governing body for the sport in the U.S. We keep records of our members’ scores in competition, register shoots for the clubs and associations, hold the National Championship each year, and provide myriad awards for outstanding achievements.

USA Shooting

USA Shooting, a 501c3 non-profit corporation, was chartered by the United States Olympic Committee as the National Governing Body for the sport of shooting in April 1995. The organization implements and manages development programs and sanctions events at the local, state, regional, and national levels.
