Service Description

Start Time: 8:00 AM End Time: 4:00 PM General Skeet Class: This class will consist of a mix of classroom (when available) and range time. This class will begin on the range to assess the class's talent and from there the instructors will guide the class through a robust power point presentation on the mechanics of the game. Once the mechanics have been covered the class will return to the range to use what they have learned. After lunch the class will return to the classroom for a brief dive into the mental game of shooting. At the conclusion of the power point the shooters will return to the range for a multitude of drills, games, and competitions. Shooters will leave this class with: the basic understanding of skeet, better idea of the function of hold points and eye set point, how lead works, and, depending on class development, discovering how their mental game can improve their target shooting. Doubles class: This class will take a deep dive into Doubles Skeet. This will be a mix of classroom and range content. The shooter will be asked to participate in a interactive session of classroom power point and some medium to high volume shooting. This class will cover the mechanics of doubles pertaining to: eye set point, hold point, break point, and eye transition as well as the importance of solid fundamentals. The development of the relationship of these items are what lead a shooter to be great at this discipline. Once the mechanics are covered we will dive into the mental game of doubles and develop a proper shot routine to excel. Because of the nature and importance of timing in doubles, the shooter should be prepared to shoot a lot in this class. Shooter will leave with a deeper understanding of doubles. They will be taught the special intricacies of doubles so that they can leave this session with the experience needed to become a championship doubles shooter. They will start to develop the relationship between hold point and break point for the importance of shooting rhythm and will learn in the classroom the importance of the eyes and how they work for shooting. Depending on the skill of the class we will go deeper into the mental game pertaining to the subconscious and the stress of competition. The shooter will be shooting better after having this class but doubles aren’t mastered in a day, so they will be sent home with the proper tools in their “proverbial tool box” to properly train and develop further. Coaches are welcome.
